Club Information
The Dudes & Dolls Square Dance Club is a fun and lively couples-only mainstream dance club which dances every 2nd, 4th and 5th Friday from September through May at the Cedar Valley Grange in Lynnwood, Washington.
On dance nights we have a Round Dance Workshop from 7:30pm – 8:00pm and Mainstream Square Dancing from 8:00pm to 10:30pm. We take a break around 9:30pm at which time a Plus Tip is called.
The Dudes & Dolls club was started in 1950 and as of 2009/2010, there are 57 couples.
Our full time caller is Scott Coon and our cuer is Debbie Taylor.
The Dudes & Dolls put out a monthly Newsletter developed by our club member, Warren Funnell.
Aside from various caravans put on throughout the dance season, we also have off season activities which include the Annual Campout & Auction and the Annual Picnic. The Mystery Caravan is always popular because every other year it is an overnight caravan to a "mystery" location.
For new and inexperienced square dancers, we conduct mainstream square dance lessons beginning in September of each year. If you have never square danced before, here is your opportunity to gain experience, meet new people, and learn mainstream square dancing.
We square dance to all types of music - folk, rock, contemporary, country, and oldies. The tempo ranges from slow ballads to high energy rock and roll.
